Patient Care Coordinator
I have spent more than 35 years in the dental world, first as an assistant and then as an administrator. The thing that is constant through those two roles is one-on-one patient interaction, which I absolutely love! We work hard to create a happy, healthy, and caring dental practice full of people who are fun, energetic, and compassionate.
I moved to Whatcom County from Minnesota with my family in 2000. I have since enjoyed the luxury of being able to snowshoe at Mt. Baker and then catch a sunset on the beach that same day. I have been happily married to Steve for 38+ years and have two kids, a cat, and a dog. Outside of work, I love spending time with friends and family, traveling, gardening, and practicing being a new grandma.
I began working at Ferndale Family Dental in 2004 as a dental assistant and then left in 2011 for Dental Hygiene School. After spending time working and learning in Central Washington, I came back and rejoined the practice in 2016.
I strive to continuously expand my knowledge in the dental field and find enjoyment out of learning new information, methods, and technology that will benefit the patients that I treat. Personal interaction with patients is my favorite part of my job; whether it be helping someone become more comfortable in the dental chair or attaining a smile they've always desired. I'm here to help my patients in every positive way possible, and I love getting to see the outcomes of that!
I have grown up in Whatcom Country and have had the utmost privilege of being surrounded by the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. I love and enjoy being outdoors as much as possible, spending my time hiking, running, exploring, and having picnics with friends and family. Also, I love cooking and trying new restaurants and foods. Every day in the Pacific Northwest is a good day!
I have been a hygienist for 19 years and I truly enjoy meeting new people and getting to know my patients and their families over the course of years. That they trust me to be a part of their healthcare team is a wonderful compliment.
I joined Ferndale Family Dental in 2016 and was impressed how immediately I was embraced as part of the team. Such a warm and welcoming practice. Everyone in the office truly has the patient's best interest at heart.
Outside of dentistry, I enjoy DIY home projects, gardening, walking my dogs, and occasionally volunteering at Bellingham Theater Guild. I have one beautiful daughter and am a grandma to twins. I grew up in Orcas Island and have lived in various states. Somehow I always come back to Washington state. I know I am home when I can smell saltwater.

Here at Ferndale Family Dental, we treat our patients the way we would like to be treated! When I assist our doctors with patients, I like to make sure that they know how much I respect them, and that I am here to help them with whatever they may need. I enjoy creating a comfortable experience for our patients, and am glad to work with a team that does the same.
Food is my passion! I love to watch the Food Network and cook the dishes I’ve seen on TV with my husband. There is also something very relaxing about just chilling at home with my two cats, or getting away on a mini vacation. I also love my Hawks!
I joined Ferndale Family Dental in 2015. I work side by side with the dentist and make sure that my patient is comfortable. My most favorite part of my job is seeing the patients smile after their dental treatment.
I am married to a wonderful man and have a 7-year old stepson. We are also expecting our first baby this year. In my spare time, I love to read, go hiking, ride horses, and spend time with my family.
